The Prayer
And on that evening,
I released my prayer,
my hopes, my sorrows,
my worldly care.
And then that night,
as darkness fell,
I set out from heaven,
to find my hell.
As I wandered the plains,
the stars, like tears,
one by one,
revealed my fears.
And in their midst,
seven sisters rise,
shining like diamonds,
hope in their eyes.
But in their shadow,
the dragon next came,
five red faces,
Aldebaran his name.
And from the ashes,
of the devil's destruction,
rose three magicians,
speaking spells of instruction.
Words heeded by two,
the sound of the night,
a man and a woman,
as one, took flight.
And where they flew,
I cannot say,
as they danced into the night,
I stepped into the day.
